Evolution of Enclosure: the Anatomy of Building Performance
Track: Energy + Power

Buildings are a major contributor to the climate crisis today. However, we now have the science and techniques to revolutionize building energy performance while also safeguarding building integrity and occupant health and happiness. Architects and builders have a starring role to play in the climate solution. Dan Whitmore and Zack Semke of builder Hammer & Hand, and Prentis Hale, principal of SHED Architecture + Design, will share field-tested techniques for designing and constructing advanced building envelopes that deliver superior energy efficiency, thermal comfort, and durability.
